The Meridian Area Business Association proudly offers financial support through the Joan Smith Memorial Scholarship and the philanthropic grants for non-profits.
As part of our commitment to supporting the local business community, the Meridian Area Business Association offers two meaningful forms of financial assistance: the Joan Smith Memorial Scholarship and the MABA the philanthropic grants for non profits.. These programs are designed to empower current and aspiring business leaders in Meridian Township.

This scholarship honors the legacy of Joan Smith, a dedicated community member and MABA supporter who believed in the value of professional development and lifelong learning.
Who Can Apply

Students pursuing a business-related degree or certification

Current MABA members - Non-members may apply with a Letter of Support from a current MABA member

Applicants with a demonstrated interest in leadership and service
Scholarship Amount

Typically awarded as a one-time scholarship

Award amount may vary year to year based on fundraising efforts
How to Apply

Complete the Joan Smith Memorial Scholarship Application

Submit any required documentation (e.g., transcripts, essay)
MABA Scholarships and Grants :

Any non profit in Ingham County, Michigan

Experiencing documented financial hardship (e.g., loss of income, natural disaster, health-related setbacks)

Any associated Organization cost for you to stay operational.

Complete the MABA Member Philanthropic Grant is for 501c3 application.
